Included with every machine

The software isn’t a separate purchase. It arrives switched on.

Buy a Puff Geeks machine and it shows up already running the whole platform — the operator console, the iOS and Android apps, the routing and pricing engines, the compliance data. There is no module to unlock, no integration project to schedule, and nothing to wire up yourself.

Why we don’t license it separately

One company builds the machine and the software, so neither waits on the other.

Vending software that promises to run on anyone’s hardware spends its life chasing other people’s firmware. Every vendor SDK is a different dispense protocol, a different card reader, a different set of bugs — and every one of them breaks on someone else’s release schedule.

We took the other road. The cabinet, the kiosk app, the backend, and the phone apps are one system built by one team, so a dispense failure is traceable end to end and a fix ships to all of it at once — rather than becoming a support ticket between two companies.

The trade is honest: our platform runs on our machines. If you have a mixed fleet from other manufacturers, we are not the right answer for those units, and we would rather say so now than sell you an integration we can’t maintain.

06 / Scout

Find the next spot before you sign the lease.

Search any city or draw a radius on the map and Scout scores every venue on foot traffic, category fit, and hours of exposure — so you're pitching bars and campuses that actually rank, not guessing off a hunch.

  • 0–100 placement score per venue, ranked
  • Filter by category, radius, or a hand-drawn area
  • Ownership read: independent vs. chain, who to approach

07 / Battery rental

A second revenue line, same dashboard.

Run battery-bank rental cabinets alongside your vending fleet — metered or day-pass plans, card-on-file checkout, and automatic forfeiture handling if a pack doesn't come back. One fleet view, one set of reports.

  • Metered or day-pass rental, chosen at the machine
  • Card-on-file checkout, no cash handling
  • Non-return forfeiture and lost-pack recovery built in

08 / Contracts & venue partners

Sign, negotiate, and pay venues without leaving the platform.

Send a venue contract, let them counter-offer the split, and both sides e-sign with a real audit trail. Once signed, the venue owner gets their own login — live sales for their location and a self-serve CSV export, nothing else.

  • Built-in templates plus counter-offer negotiation
  • Dual e-signature with signer/IP/timestamp forensics
  • Partner login: that venue's numbers only, no cross-tenant access

09 / Commissions, payouts & billing

The money side, reconciled automatically.

Versioned commission contracts turn into statements every period — draft, finalize, pay by Stripe or PayPal — with mid-period rate changes handled correctly. Platform billing runs the same way: usage-based, auto-charged, with dunning before anything gets disabled.

  • Commission statements: draft → finalized → paid
  • Stripe and PayPal payouts to venue partners
  • Usage-based platform billing with auto-charge and dunning

Under the hood

The estimates get better because other operators shared theirs.

Route times, location scores, and slot prices are all computed, and the weights are published rather than hidden. Operators who opt in pool de-identified field measurements, so a brand-new fleet plans its first route on numbers the network already earned — and no aggregate can ever be traced back to the fleet that contributed it.

The rest of the console

Everything else you’d open in a normal week.

The sections above are the headline surfaces. This is the rest of what ships — all of it live, none of it roadmap.

Operations

Warehouse & van stock

Multi-warehouse inventory with drivers confirming or editing their van load at Start Route, mid-route recounts, and a full audit trail.

Routes & restock priority

Sales-velocity ranking builds tonight's stop list, with drive times estimated from your own field data.

Planograms

Define the slot layout once per machine model and push it across the fleet instead of configuring cabinets one at a time.

Cost basis & valuation

Weighted-average costing that re-averages on every costed receive, plus purchase history and live inventory valuation.

Machine health & remote control

Heartbeats, error alerts, reboot, reload config, test-dispense, and a software lockout that disables a machine remotely.

3D machine scans

Capture a cabinet with a phone's LiDAR and preview the model in the console — useful for planning a placement before the van shows up.

Compliance & trust

51-jurisdiction vending law

Vape vending legality for all 50 states plus DC in the console, with the research and its sources behind each ruling.

Per-state SKU compliance

Flags stock that can't legally be where it is, checked against state product directories you import.

Age verification

21+ gated by a real PDF417 ID scan judged in the machine's own timezone. There is no typed-birthday path to bypass, by construction.

Audit trail

Append-only log of every state change, price move, privilege grant, and admin action, queryable per operator.

Privacy & retention

Verdict-only ID storage, configurable retention windows, and automated pruning of aged records.

Session security

Per-session revocation, MFA on operator and admin sign-in, and alerts the moment anyone's role changes.

Revenue

Dynamic pricing

Demand-computed prices with hard rails — never below cost, never a stock ticker. Off by default, per machine.

Loyalty & promotions

Puff Points on every purchase, promotions with point costs and discounts, and single-use codes redeemed at the kiosk.

On-machine advertising

Sell screen time on the idle loop and the front display, with ad-reward boosts tied into the loyalty economy.

Upsell at the kiosk

Bought-together recommendations at checkout, derived from what actually sells together on that machine.

Battery rental plans

Metered or day-pass rental with the break-even shown to the customer, deposits authorized and captured automatically.

Streamed CSV exports

Transactions, daily sales, commission statements, and warehouse events — scoped to whoever's asking.

People & partners

Team roles & per-machine grants

Build an employee group and grant access machine by machine, enforced at the row level on every screen.

Venue partner logins

Your host venues see their own live sales and their cut — and nothing else, ever.

Contracts & e-signature

Templates, counter-offer negotiation, dual signatures with forensics, and PDF export.

Commission statements

Draft → finalized → paid, with mid-period rate changes blended correctly rather than applied retroactively.

Support desks

Tickets routed to the machine's operator or to platform support, so a customer issue never lands in a stranger's queue.

Notifications

Email, push, and SMS on the events that matter, with per-user preferences and cooldowns so alerts stay signal.

One platform, every surface

The same truth on every screen.

One backend owns the state. Every client is a view onto it, so a price change, a stock count, or a permission revocation is instantly true everywhere — in sixteen languages.

Web console

The full operator and admin surface — every screen above, in the browser, nothing to install.

iOS & Android

Native apps for customers, operators, and field employees. Same data, same permissions, built for one hand in a van.

The kiosk

The software on the machine itself: storefront, age gate, battery bank, offline-tolerant checkout, and a second ad display.

All of it, on day one

Every screen above ships with the machine.

Not a starter tier that unlocks later. Your first machine gets the same console, the same apps, and the same algorithms as our largest operator — and your data exports to CSV whenever you want it.
